Method
 

  1. Peel and thinly slice cucumbers.
  2. Place cucumbers in a bowl.
  3. Whisk sour cream, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour mixture over cucumbers and stir.
  5. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  6. Stir in dill, if desired.
  7. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a creamier salad, use full-fat sour cream. Adjust the amount of vinegar and sugar to your liking.
