- Mix cream cheese with dill (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Spread cream cheese mixture on four slices of bread.
- Arrange cucumber slices on top of the cream cheese.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread.
- Trim the crusts from the sandwiches.
- Cut each sandwich into quarters.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate.
