- Thinly slice cucumbers and red onion. Soak red onion in ice water for 10 minutes for milder flavor, then drain.
- Whisk together sour cream, white vinegar, dill, sugar, salt, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Combine sliced cucumbers and red onion in a bowl.
- Pour dressing over vegetables and toss gently.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Toss gently before serving chilled.
