Ingredients
  

Salad
  • 3 cups cucumbers thinly sliced
  • 1 cup red onion thinly sliced
Dressing
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 Tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh dill minced
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Thinly slice cucumbers and red onion. Soak red onion in ice water for 10 minutes for milder flavor, then drain.
  2. Whisk together sour cream, white vinegar, dill, sugar, salt, and garlic powder until smooth.
  3. Combine sliced cucumbers and red onion in a bowl.
  4. Pour dressing over vegetables and toss gently.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Toss gently before serving chilled.

Notes

For best results, use fresh dill and chill the salad for at least an hour before serving.
